The MPS Foundation Grant Portal

Welcome to The MPS Foundation Application Portal

At The MPS Foundation, we fund research that makes a real difference — improving patient safety, reducing clinical risk, and supporting the wellbeing of healthcare professionals and teams across the world.

We are delighted to announce the launch of our 2026 Grant Programme, with Expressions of Interest opening on 9 February 2026 and closing on 1 May 2026.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking ambitious, high-quality research aligned to one or more of our four strategic priorities:

  • Understanding the impact of human factors on patient safety, outcomes, and risk
  • Advancing the personal and professional wellbeing of healthcare professionals and teams
  • Exploring how digital integration and technology can improve patient safety and reduce risk
  • Evaluating innovative approaches to teaching and learning in healthcare

We are particularly keen to support original, evidence-based, applied research with clear, practical outcomes. Proposals that can be translated into impact across primary and secondary care, as well as private healthcare, outpatient, and dental settings, are strongly encouraged.

Who Can Apply

We welcome applications from researchers worldwide whose work aligns with our mission and priorities. Please note that your research, participants, and outcomes must be based in, and demonstrate impact on, healthcare professionals in at least one of MPS’ nine geographic areas of operation:

Australia, Caribbean & Bermuda, Ireland, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

How to Apply

Comprehensive guidance and full details of the application process are available in the Guidance for Applicants, accessible on this page and within the secure applicant area once you have registered.

  • Returning applicants: log in to access your account and applications
  • New applicants: register to create an account and begin your application

If your research has the potential to drive meaningful change in healthcare, we encourage you to apply.

Due to the competitive nature of this programme, applicants are encouraged to ensure their proposals clearly articulate innovation, feasibility, and impact.
