The MPS Foundation is a global not-for-profit research initiative that aims to shape the future of patient safety and the wellbeing of healthcare professionals and teams.

Our 2025 Grant Programme and calls for Expressions of Interest is NOW OPEN and will close on 2nd May 2025 at 1700 BST.

The MPS Foundation is seeking to fund research that is focused on at least one of our four strategic priorities:

  • the impact of human factors on patient safety, outcomes and risk
  • the personal and professional wellbeing of healthcare professionals and teams
  • the impact of digital integration and technology on patient safety, outcomes and risk
  • evaluation of the effectiveness of teaching and learning innovations

We want to fund research that is original, evidence-based, and focused on applied research.  We particularly welcome proposals whose outcomes can be applied in primary as well as secondary care settings, the private sector, outpatient practices or dental care environments.  Applications are invited from across the world from those who want to conduct research that aligns with The MPS Foundation's focus and priorities.   Please note your research, the research participants and outcomes of your research must be based and impact healthcare professionals in at least one of the MPS' 9 geographic areas of operation:
